On Friday 21st May we marked the 1,000th meal served at Grace Cafe by holding a celebratory luncheon.

In addition to our regular guests, there were a number of special visitors including Anglican Archbishop Kay Goldsworthy, Bishop Don Sproxton from the Catholic Archdiocese, Joondalup Mayor Albert Jacob and local Councillor Tom McLean.

Home made soup, roast lamb and a selection of hot and cold desserts were prepared and served to 66 guests by our wonderful team of volunteers. This is a truely ecumenical venture with volunteers from the local Anglican , non-conformist and Catholic communities. A huge shout out to the fantastic organisations that support us - the St Vincent de Paul Society, Sacred Heart College, the Pantry, No Limits Perth, Anglicare, the Australian Red Cross, the Catholic and Anglican Archdioceses, and the City of Joondalup to name but a few. Food parcels to take home were provided to those in need after the meal.
