Our vision is to have worship that is true to our Anglican traditions, while celebrating the diversity of our congregation.
This year we seek to:
- Sing a mixture of traditional, contemporary hymns and choruses.
- Learn new hymns and choruses.
- Hold occasional “sing for your supper” evenings.
- Have quiet reflective music, choruses, chants, or recorded music while displaying the words on the screens.
To be more efficient we will:
- Sometimes have a period of silent prayer before the morning service.
- Continue to sing the Gloria and responses at most services.
- Sometimes omit a hymn or sections of the liturgy.
- Consider various ways of enhancing worship on special days such as Christmas, Easter, Carols and Lent.
- Make our services reflect contemporary issues such as: Earth mass (Animal blessing), Pentecost (Multiculturalism) Mothers’ and Fathers’ days (Family unity).
- Institute Mission Sundays to celebrate our various ministries.
- Plan baptismal services with a focus on the baptism family and friends.
